Metallurgical Laboratory

The laboratory, equipped with modern instruments such as optical microscopes, spectroscopic analysis devices (quantometers), and hardness testing machines, enables the performance of precise and up-to-date tests. These tools allow us to thoroughly examine the properties of materials and deliver reliable results.

The metallurgical laboratory plays a vital role in quality control throughout every stage of production, from inspecting raw materials to the final evaluation of products. These tests help us identify potential issues and implement preventive measures to avoid quality problems in the final products. All stages of raw material, semi-finished product, and final product inspections are conducted in-house at Hajm Sepahan Steel by the company’s metallurgical experts.

Laboratory Equipment at Hajm Sepahan Steel Factory:

1. Quantometer Device

The laboratory is equipped with a German-made Foundry Master quantometer, which is used to analyze and ensure the proper composition of the melt at every stage of the melting process.

2. Metallography Laboratory

During production, the structure and microstructure of the produced parts are examined using optical microscopes. This analysis determines the grain size, graphite type, graphite shape, graphite count, and phase types.

3. Hardness Testing Machine

SFH conducts hardness testing on cast parts based on customers' technical requests. This ensures the production of customized parts that meet client requirements without any defects.

The laboratory’s advanced capabilities ensure that all materials meet high-quality standards, contributing to the reliability and durability of the final products.
